Ideas* developed the innovative fertiliser production process that converts poultry processing waste streams into biological fertiliser.
Developed over many years the project involved extensive research, design and testing. The innovative process involves the torrefaction of biomass together with the highest quality product output process which provides a highly effective biological fertiliser for growers.
After moving from virtual modelling, our team developed a small-scale production prototype, followed by a larger-scale demonstration plant which formed the basis of a larger-scale production facility and provided for low-level commercial production.
Throughout the project, our team collaborated with specialists in agriculture, waste processing and fertiliser production, which eventually led to the business being acquired by Incitec Pivot Australia for $40 million in 2021.
The investment will fund the development of a commercial-scale plant and support Incitec’s focus on developing more effective and environmentally friendly fertilisers in Australia and Worldwide.
